Blakk Rasta's nationwide tour starts 4 Nov
Blakk Rasta is arguably Ghana’s most popular contemporary artiste whose Barack Obama single topped several world charts in the wake of the 2008 American election and beyond.
His latest 16 track album-BORN DREAD is just about to witness such tremendous success as his new single on the album, I cry/Libyan war has already been played several times on BBC and other major networks barely a few weeks after its release. “Miss right” which is a departure from the normal Blakk Rasta more fire brand is already a local chart buster with its accompanying video.
It is in this light that this first ever nationwide tour of the artiste is important to enable him interact with the fans and admirers to propagate the special message of peace, love and unity in an African pride environment. This will be followed by an African tour later next year.
The BORN DREAD TOUR shall kick off as follows:
Friday, Nov. 4th - Wa (In-service Center)
Saturday, Nov. 5th - Bolga (Catering Rest House)
Saturday, Nov. 12th - Tamale (Sports Stadium)
Friday, Dec. 2nd - Sunyani (Cultural center)
Saturday, Dec.3rd - HO (Sports Stadium)
Saturday, Dec. 10th - Tema Sports Stadium)
Saturday, Dec. 17th - Koforidua (Capital View)
The tour will include other artistes beside Blakk Rasta (main act) such as Ras Kimono (Nigeria), Baba Fryo (Nigeria), Ishmael Isaac (Cote d’Ivoire), Sheriff Ghale, Abu Sadic, Kriss Jomah, Fiifi Selah from Ghana and, a host of others. This is Blakk Rasta’s much- awaited nationwide tour which assuredly will pull thousands of fans at every venue.
It is a live band music tour which promises to have all the major venues packed.
