Moonsplash reggae is the new, pure, unadulterated form of the reggae genre with Ghanaian percussion and other African instruments and sounds. When it is full moon Africans stay outdoors to tell stories and to make music. For traditional Africa the full moon signifies happiness and good entertainment moments filled with stories and music.
The Blakk Rasta reggae workshop is an innovation by famous reggae artist Blakk Rasta and supported by Goethe-Institut Ghana. The workshop will center on a new brand of reggae music known as Moonsplash reggae in two parts:
- To research sounds and instruments that will be used to create Moonsplash Reggae, a new African Reggae sound
- To prepare the first Moonsplash Reggae Concert with Blakk Rasta and other roots reggae artists held the same day @ Goethe-Institut.
True Ghanaian Reggae - on a full moon!
